Police can name the man who died following a crash at Onekawa on 22 January.
He was 19-year-old Jack MacConnell, of Onekawa, Napier.
‘Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time,’ said police in a statement.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
