‘No tolerance for this’ – woman arrested on drug charges

Nelson Bays Organised Crime Unit, with the assistance of staff from the Police Prevention Team, the Nelson Criminal Investigations Branch, and Customs, executed a search warrant at a Redwood Valley address today, in relation to the importation and supply of GBL.

“As a result, a 36-year-old woman was arrested. She is due in Nelson District Court on 15 June, charged with importing GBL, possession of GBL for supply, and possession of methamphetamine”, said Detective Sergeant Glen Lindup.

“Police and Customs have no tolerance for this type of offending, and we continue to collaborate and investigate the importation and supply of illicit drugs and substances in the Nelson area.

“Anyone with information on the importation or supply of drugs is urged to call 111 for urgent offending that is happening now, or for non-urgent information you can contact 105, either online or over the phone.”
