One person has been charged after Police found drugs, ammunition, and body armour at an address in Lower Hutt on Monday night.
At around 9:20pm Hutt Valley Police executed a search warrant at a Belmont address, following a report of a person at the address possessing drugs.
“During the search, Police located MDMA/Ecstasy, body armour, and a large quantity of varying rounds of ammunition”, said Detective Senior Sergeant Ben Evans.
“A Firearm-Detector Dog unit was also deployed, assisting in the locating of the ammunition.
“A 30-year-old man was arrested and is due to appear in Hutt Valley District Court today, charged with possessing ecstasy for supply and unlawfully possessing ammunition.
“An investigation is underway, and a scene guard remains at the address.”
Once again- those who comply with the disgusting Firearms Code and Regulations of legally owning a Firearm find ourselves in a VERY inconvenient situation with further restrictions, more vetting, etc.
And yet, the crims always have…FIREARMS!!!
And yet, their fines, punishments etc. are not the length that a licenced Firearms Owner would get if he / she had ‘illegal parts’, or retained their Firearm after the licence expired…
