Police were called to a property on State Highway 30 about 4.30pm after an altercation between two people, with one sustaining critical injuries.
A person has been taken into custody and is assisting police, who are not seeking anyone else. Local sources say the incident was a fatal stabbing, and social media video showed multiple police cars at the nearby Awakeri Hot Springs.
