The two-vehicle crash on State Highway 1 involving a motorcycle and a car was reported to Police just before 11am.
The motorcycle rider died at the scene.
The road remains closed while a scene examination is carried out (as at 1.06pm).
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
