A fatal crash on John F Kennedy Drive in Palmerston North overnight has left one person dead and two others hospitalised.
Emergency services were alerted to the scene of the single-vehicle accident shortly after 1:50 a.m.
Tragically, one person was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were rushed to the hospital—one in critical condition and the other in serious condition.
The Serious Crash Unit carried out a detailed examination of the site, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the cause of the accident.
The road has now reopened to traffic.
