Paedo ex-deputy principal given longer sentence after new victims come forward

James Parker news

Convicted paedophile and former deputy principal James Parker has had his prison sentence extended after new victims revealed further abuse between 2009 and 2011, including the sadistic use of a taser.

Parker, who was previously jailed indefinitely in 2013 for abusing 20 boys while working at Pamapuria School, admitted to seven new charges involving two more boys.

A judge described the latest offending as more serious, predatory, and controlling.

Despite having served 12 years and being considered for release, the new eight-and-a-half-year sentence—without a minimum parole period—will delay any parole eligibility, with the judge stating the time frame for applying after one-third of the term is appropriate.
