A new petition is demanding that New Zealand’s Covid-19 Royal Commission of Inquiry compel key political and health figures to testify under oath about their roles in the country’s pandemic response.

The campaign, launched by Reality Check Radio (RCR) calls for former Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, former Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield, and former Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins to face public questioning over decisions that led to lockdowns, vaccine mandates, and what critics describe as widespread social and economic harm.

Other persons the petition says should face questioning and accountability are:

  • Siouxsie Wiles, Microbiologist & COVID-19 Media Spokesperson
  • Michael Baker, Epidemiologist & Government Health Advisor
  • Shaun Hendy, Government Modeller & Physics Professor
  • Helen Petousis-Harris, Vaccinologist & Government Media Spokesperson
  • Grant Robertson, Deputy Prime Minister & Finance Minister
  • Rebecca Kitteridge, Director-General, NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS)
  • Professor Rod Jackson, Epidemiologist & Government Media Commentator
  • Dr. Sanjana Hattotuwa, Research Director, The Disinformation Project
  • Kate Hannah, Director, The Disinformation Project

The petition accuses these individuals of avoiding accountability while maintaining influence or reputational status. It argues that the nation’s Covid response created a divided, damaged society and that the fallout from those policies continues to affect New Zealanders. Supporters of the petition say this is a rare chance for meaningful accountability, with the Commission legally empowered to summon witnesses and hold public hearings between August 2025 and the end of that year.

Organisers stress that unless public pressure is applied, the inquiry risks becoming a whitewash. They are urging the Commission to fully exercise its powers to summon those responsible for shaping the country’s pandemic policies—under oath and in the public eye.

The petition can be signed here.

  1. Please sign it and forward this link to all and sundry. Every little step counts. Who knows, it might actually work.. 🙂

  2. Can they summon some “journalists” maybe for refusing to do journalism? Decent journalism would have saved a lot of destruction.

  3. Get Brook Barrington, former chief executive of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet during covid years to face the music too. DPCM was running the response

  4. I hope this works. But scum like this that are willing to lie to the entire country for their globalist bosses will have no problem doing it again to save their own skin oath or no oath. Also what about all the journalists and current politucians that are still pushing the globalist agenda, they are part of the wider problem that still exists.

  5. They need to be held accountable to the state this country is in division at a all time high debt is of the charts and the fact there was no dialogue between the people and them it was straight dictation remember and I quote “I am the one source of information “ the absolute one way street of interviews that she thought was funny that is not democracy at all that is power with a agenda she sold us down the river…

  6. If any politician truly cares, little Shitkins would be facing these questions, daily, in parliament. Alas, silence

  7. In practice an order for these people to attend or stand trial isn’t likely to happen.

    Now why is that?

All MPs know they are going to be either voted out of office , leave or be dismissed. The incumbent members know that ordering an ex member of parliament to appear in court will open the door to future investigations and litigation against themselves.

  8. They can all bein parliament because the stupid public of NZ put them there grow a brain NZ time for a different party in power one that listens to the people and cannot be bought of by the filthy rich of this world.

  9. Shouldn’t this have been organised months ago so it could have been part of the public submissions (which closed months ago) for the inquiry.

Why would/should the inquiry take notice of it now?
