Plunket’s vaccine programme: $1m spent, fewer than 100 babies jabbed

Despite receiving a million-dollar contract without an open tender process, Plunket’s foray into childhood immunisation has produced dismal results, vaccinating fewer than 100 babies in five months.

A leaked report shows just 53 children were jabbed by mid-March, nearly all of whom were already enrolled with a GP—contradicting the program’s stated goal of reaching the “unengaged”.

Plunket insists it’s still “learning” and claims vague metrics justify the poor outcomes, while brushing off concerns about its weak connection to Māori and Pacific communities. Critics question why taxpayer money was handed over for such a poorly executed initiative targeting already declining vaccine confidence.

The push to expand the vaccinator workforce comes amid growing resistance to aggressive immunisation targets, with authorities struggling to convince hesitant families. The programme is pitched as a solution to lagging vaccination rates—yet its early performance only reinforces growing public skepticism about the necessity, safety, and impartiality of childhood vaccinations.

  1. The powers that be still fail to understand just how badly they overplayed their hand a few short years ago.

People aren’t falling for it anymore.

  2. GOOD! Glad to see families not exposing their precious children, to the big pharma snake oil. Looks too, like people are not buying the lies from the serpents in the MSM and mainstream politics. Now if we can convince people to stop being complacent, about who they vote for, this place might just stand a chance, of being somewhere worth living.

  3. Excellent news. Good to know parents may be doing their own research and finding out any vaccine is not safe and effective especially for babies and children.

  4. If medsafe cannot be honest about the mRNA jabs harms, and come clean about the lies told to the country, why would people believe any of the others being pedalled are safe for their children?!

  5. And yet, the New Zealand Loyal Party has been DE-BANKED by the Banks here in NZ…thus cheating and stealing the voter preferences away from the 38,000 who voted for NZ Loyal Party in the last election. Yet-
Plunket takes in $1 million for 100 jabbed babies…so-
Where’s the rest of the money?
    Or-
Will Plunket be de-banked as well? Investigated? Or return the un-used funding back to the tax payer???
But yes- it’s good to see parents protecting their babies from the Covid and bio-weapon mRNA / Thimerosol death jabs…

  6. growing public skepticism is necessary after the Covid jab narrative which has been forced down, people loose trust in Government, local authorities, actually any authority who or will try to dictate status on to us. “Do not comply” great song

  7. The saddest outcome of our political demon class using COVID to coerce society is any trust built on largely successful, tried and true vaccinations, has been undermined. Possibly forever. Shame on our Government.

    • Vaccines are entirely based on pseudoscience. The win is that more and more are rejecting this nonsense. The loss is $1 mil in taxpayer money.

  8. Plunket is prostituting themselves for their sponsors handouts. Sixteen years ago, I started to mistrust them as they were more interested in convincing me to use their sponsor’s Colgate fluoride toothpaste on my baby, rather than addressing my concerns because my child was not crawling. Great to see they are failing their sponsors. Outrages that we the taxpayers are their involuntary Sponsors, so Big Pharma profits on us.

  9. Good to hear, I see Plunkett’s vaccine schedule also includes the mRNA jab and is available for over 5 year olds, what parent in their right mind would do this, healthy children and young adults were never in danger from CV19.

  10. I have read a number of articles this week around vaccination of both young and elderly. There is a myriad of issues around vaccination but I remain perplexed as to why every New Zealand parent is not ‘demanding’ their child be tested for any potential Immunological issues prior to and post receipt of any vaccine. Does the child have an inherited Immunological deficiency? Will this increase the likelihood of adverse reactions? Will the child adequately respond to the vaccine and will they need multiple doses to be protected? Who will help if the vaccine response becomes a lifelong injury?
The same applies to adults. Does everybody need 5 or 6 doses of Tetanus vaccine to be protected? How long do the vaccines offer protection? What is the difference between an adverse reaction and an injury? What are the conditions whereby vaccination may be contraindicated.
Furthermore, why is ACC responsible for determining injury when CARM and Medsafe should be ticking the claim box when they investigate and report? Failure to report a vaccine adverse reaction should be treated as unlawful.
It is time for answers and a well funded agency to be appointed. Transparency of consent information and reporting is a must and a list of Immunological tests that can be requested with ease in order to provide confidence and certainty should be a priority.
I will never receive another vaccine. Notwithstanding this, there needs to be a significant commitment from our Govt that endorses accountability and responsibility in all things Vaccine.
    No accountability…no vaccination!
