Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Kaitaia on Friday 31 March.
Emergency services responded to reports of the crash on Wireless Road around 11.45pm.
One person was taken to hospital in a critical condition, however sadly died in hospital as a result of their injuries soon after.
As part of their investigation, Police are trying to piece together the events that occurred leading up to the crash, and are appealing to the public for assistance.
Police would like to speak with anyone who was in the area between 11.30pm-12am. Please get in touch.
Anyone else who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the crash is also asked to contact Police via the 105 phone service or online using Update My Report.
