Police are now in a position to name the person who died following a vehicle incident on Florence Avenue in Orewa.
He was 41-year-old Joseph Hart.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 7 January in the Victor Eves Park car park.
Mr Hart was taken to hospital in a critical condition, but sadly died.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing and Police are not seeking anyone in relation to this matter.
