Police are appealing to the public for assistance in their investigation into the homicide of Albert Enoka in Naenae last week.
Police urge residents to use an online portal to upload CCTV, videos, or photos that may help identify critical details in the case.
Detective Inspector Haley Ryan said officers are still seeking 28-year-old Wipuhara Kapene, who has a warrant out for his arrest in connection to the murder.
Kapene is described as dangerous and should not be approached. Police advise anyone who sees him to call 111 immediately. He is known to have connections across Wellington, the Wairarapa area, and Eastern District.
As part of their ongoing investigation, police are focusing on the movements of a black Mercedes, registration KRP453 (pictured), shortly before and after 3:10 PM on Tuesday, 10 December.
Investigators are particularly interested in activity in the following Naenae areas:
- Seddon Street
- Judd Crescent
- Wood Grove
- Keys Street
- Waddington Drive
- Naenae Road
- Hay Street
- Waiwhetu Road
“CCTV will be crucial to this inquiry,” Ryan said.
The police have set up an online portal where members of the public can upload footage or images that may assist the investigation.
