Death following crash, Benneydale
A person has died following an incident with a vehicle at about 4am today on SH 30 in the Benneydale district of Waikato.
The Serious Crash Unit has examined the scene.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
Name release – State Highway 2, Athenree Gorge crash
Police can now name the man who died in a crash on State Highway 2 at Athenree Gorge on 2 January.
He was David Lynn Hart, aged 73.
