Update – serious crash, Ashhurst
Police can confirm one person has died following the earlier two-vehicle serious crash on Ashhurst Road, Ashhurst.
The road was closed while the Serious Crash Unit examined the scene.
Enquiries will be made into the circumstances of the crash.
Name release – fatal Rotorua crash
Police can now name the person who died following a crash in Rotorua on Thursday 30 June.
He was 17-year-old Aidan Nicholson of Rotorua.
Police extends its condolences to his friends and whānau.
Enquiries into the crash are ongoing.
