Fatal crash, Ōkaihau
Police can confirm one person has died following a serious crash in Ōkaihau Monday morning
Emergency services responded to the crash, involving one vehicle on Wehirua Road, around 8.40am.
Sadly, one person received critical injuries and died at the scene.
‘Police extend our condolences to their friends and family at this difficult time.’
The scene has since been cleared and the road has now reopened.
The Serious Crash Unit was in attendance and enquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing.
Name release, Somerville Road fatal crash, Okoroire
Police can now release the name of the man who died following a collision between a car and a tree on Somerville Road, Okoroire, South Waikato.
The crash occurred around 7pm Wednesday 3 April.
He was 36-year-old James Burt, of Putaruru, South Waikato.
‘Police extend our condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.’
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing.
