Missing person located
The person reported missing while walking under Sugarloaf yesterday has been located and is safe and well.
Police wish to thank everyone who provided assistance.
Police responding to incident near Kamo, road closures in place
A section of State Highway 1 near Kamo has been closed, as Police respond to an incident.
The incident, reported at around 4.45am, is on the Station Road overbridge where there are concerns for a person’s wellbeing.
As a precaution Police have closed State Highway 1 in both directions near the overbridge.
The Station Road overbridge is also currently closed while Police respond to the incident.
Traffic is being diverted off the State Highway and through Kamo.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow additional time to get to their destination safely this morning.
Police will provide a further update when this is available.
Update on Kamo incident – 8.45am
The earlier incident on Station Road, Kamo has now been resolved safely.
Diversions are being lifted in the area.
