Police have issued two statements recently, relating to a missing New Lynn man, and confirmation of a road death tragedy.
Missing: Jeff Allan
Police are seeking sightings of 53-year-old Jeff Allan (pictured), who has been reported missing.
He was last seen by family in New Lynn at about 2pm yesterday.
He is of thin-medium build and was wearing a black shirt, black pants and black shoes.
He has links across Auckland including New Lynn, Onehunga, Kumeu and Grafton.
Police and his family are concerned for his safety.
Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact Police on 111 and quote file number 220409/3504.
Fatal crash, Ahipara
One person has died following a crash on Kaitaia-Awaroa Road yesterday.
The single-vehicle crash occurred about 10.30am when a car went into a ditch.
When emergency services arrived a woman was located critically injured, and sadly died at the scene.
The road was closed and the Serious Crash Unit attended the scene.
The road was reopened about 1.30pm yesterday.
