Manslaughter charge laid in relation to Palmerston North crash
Palmerston North Police have charged a woman in relation to a crash on Main Street on 14 October 2022, which killed Thomas David Martin, 59.
The 18-year-old woman is due to appear in Palmerston North District Court on 16 May on a charge of manslaughter.
Police and Victim Support continue to support Mr Martin’s family.
Update: State Highway 27 crash
Police can now advise one person has died following a crash on State Highway 27 near Tirau this morning.
The crash, involving a car and a diesel tanker, was reported to Police at 11.10am.
The driver of the car tragically died at the scene.
