Poll slump piles pressure on Luxon leadership

A new 1News-Verian poll has hit Christopher Luxon hard, say legacy media.

National has dropped to 30 percent, its lowest under his leadership. Labour has climbed to 37 percent.

This gives the centre-left enough support to govern if an election were held now.

Chris Hipkins is also ahead of Luxon in personal ratings. Inside National, tensions are rising.

According to an analysis in state media, some MPs and staff are unhappy. Reports of leadership concerns have surfaced. Chris Bishop has denied any move against Luxon. The prime minister says he still has full caucus backing. A key party meeting on Tuesday will test that claim.

“Some staff feel they were a victim of a point-scoring reshuffle by Luxon that has seen a number off them “evented”, which means they have lost their jobs and could potentially apply for a new one, but not necessarily in the office they have been working in”, said the analysis.

“Other staff have been frustrated with Luxon’s unwillingness to listen, take advice, or make change.

“Both MPs and staff have expressed the prime minister is getting worse, not better, at public appearances and media interviews, which doesn’t bode well heading into a tightly-contested election campaign.”

  1. How much of this is down to him being invisible about anything to do the Israel and the US committing war crime after war crime against Iran.

If he had had some balls, and not let chipkins take the initiative, Nationals fortunes would look different.

This is what you get for being pro-US when the population can see who caused the extra financial pain

    • When a nation/state os Pro-U.S., this means that what is actually happening is support for Pro-Israel.
The U.S. is often referred to nowadays as ‘Israel West’ or ‘The United States of Israel’…
And it’s all based on Mossad deflections, deceptions, lies and campaign donations overseen by AIPAC.
EVERY U.S. CONGRESS CRITTER AND EVERY U.S. SENATOR HAS AN ISREALI AIPAC HANDLER WATCHING THEIR EVERY MOVE!
A revolution to throw-out Israeli Zionism from the U.S. should have occurred in 1967 with the attack on the USS Liberty and the actions of then-U.S. President Lyndon Baines Johnson!

  2. No doubt Luxon is unpopular but these polls are fake and designed to influence voters rather than reflect the true state of affairs

  3. Winston for PM – the only politician to go to the Whitehouse and support the USA while the Islamic supporting countries cry foul. NZ will reap the benefits when the oil starts flowing..

      • I mean… you can disagree by all means, but I’m just saying it might be OBJECTIVELY better if 20% of the world’s oil no longer comes from a desert graveyard wasteland of collapsed civilisations stretching back millennia, presided over by various disparate factions of low IQ religious zealots all hellbent on genociding one another 🤷🏼‍♂️

Whether the answer is Jew or Muslim, the question itself almost doesn’t even matter anymore, does it?

Surely it’s just better for NZ to have nothing to do with any of it and just get all our oil from Texas and Venezuela (who are both geographically closer anyway)?

You can spare me the moral outrage and leftist talking points about war crimes and dead children etc, I just want cheaper petrol.

  4. This is what happens when you DON’T LISTEN and DON’T GIVE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT CHRIS and co!!!

(when I say no one, I mean no thinking, reasonable person)

-No one wants your India free trade deal in its current form.
-No one wants your Gene Tech Bill.
-No one wants Australia-stan style Social Media deforms (proxy Digital ID’s).
-No one wants to see our government shaming us by sucking up the murderous USA.
-No one wants to see our lands and oceans mined into the ground to extract minerals Stump can use in his war machine.
-We do want decent medical care and funding for proper education and social services but good luck with that
    right?
-We want an end to waste in government but again chance would be a fine thing
-We want capped rates now not in 2029!!!

So serves you fucking right, you had this coming. It’s just a shame the alternative is every inch as bad.

  5. It’s almost as if Luxon has realised what a s*** show this country is and is allowing the left to take it back. Any conspiracy theorist could think he’s been paid to do nothing.

As for the greens, labour and TPM who are the absolutely batshit crazy people who vote for these nut bags?

The Maori seats need to go, a gift to the left every time. It’s a miracle the right can ever beat the automatic 7 seat gift the left get every time.

As for thr greens. You deluded lot better be walking every where. Don’t use computers or cell phones. You’re not allowed technology that uses any fossil fuels.

  6. No matter how much the political landscape changes, it will remain the same. The political party system where all parties are beholding to the globalist “elite” and their forums will see to that.
The political party system is the problem – not the solution.
