Post-mortem fails to determine cause of unexplained Dunedin death

Police investigating an unexplained death in Leckhampton Court and Bridge Street have completed the post-mortem examination into the deceased.

Results have not determined a cause of death, which remains unexplained.

“Further enquiries attempting to establish the circumstances will be undertaken over the weekend”, said Detective Senior Sergeant Hayden Smale.

“Police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist, to please come forward.

“Investigators are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who observed anything unusual in the Leckhampton Court area between 8 and 11pm on Wednesday night.

“Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area during that timeframe is urged to contact Police via 105, either by phone or online at 105.police.govt.nz, select ‘Update Report’. Refer to file number 261001/3548.”
