Auckland University Professor Alex Sims says many of the issues surrounding AI data centres are already publicly available, but have received little mainstream attention.
“If you’re only watching the 6 o’clock news, of course you’re not going to hear any of this,” Sims told RCR, saying mainstream media has only recently begun covering some of the concerns. In the interview, Sims raised concerns about e-waste, rising computer costs, electricity demand and the enormous computing power behind hyperscale data centres.
She also discussed digital ID and what some describe as a future “control grid”. Listen or watch RCR’s interview with Prof Sims.

The same race of people who owns the media owns the “data” centers.
Ah, and they own most politicians as well.
Most people stop believing in the MSM, so they created “fact checkers”. People then realised those were also fake, so they created “alternative media’. But people figured them out as well, so they created “AI”. Then…
Lamestream media have ignored the most important things people need to know for decades this is nothing new. We knew during covid that the vaccines were not vaccines but an experimental gene therapy and were NOT safe and effective before they were even released in this country because of some news and medical / scientific information from around the world but, for some reason all the so called “best” journalists in this country had absolutely no knowledge of this. mainstream media is dead it just has not realized this yet. This just goes to prove why sites like DTNZ are so important.
To be clear ‘AI Data Centres’ are not about creating hyper-realistic cat videos.
Wakey-wakey. Not long now.
Sinister and entirely unsurprising.
Ah, yep whatever!
Extremely bad people up to no good. In other words, business as usual.
I’m pleasantly surprised to learn (as far as I can tell) that Judith Collins doesn’t appear to be involved.
Some mistake surely.
Entirely predictable, won’t be able to buy or sell without digital ID, your every move will be tracked, been a bad boy ate a steak this week, exceeded your green credits, no power to charge your ev.
Only if you vote for it.

The low 20hz vibrations produced by data centres have a wavelength of 300m to 675m
(A 20 Hz wave traveling through the Earth has a wavelength ranging from about 300 meters (in the upper crust) to 675 meters (in the deep mantle), calculated by dividing the local seismic wave velocity (6 to 13.5 km/s) by the 20 Hz frequency.)
