Putin warns of “overwhelming” response if Ukraine uses Tomahawks

Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a stark warning to Washington, saying Moscow’s response would be “very serious, if not overwhelming” should Ukraine launch US-supplied Tomahawk missiles against Russian territory.

He described any move by the United States to provide such long-range weapons to Kiev as an “escalation attempt.”

Ukraine has repeatedly sought access to Tomahawk cruise missiles, with President Vladimir Zelensky reportedly pressing the issue during his recent White House meeting with US President Donald Trump. According to Axios, Zelensky’s request was denied, though American officials have not ruled out the possibility entirely, noting the final decision rests with Trump.

Speaking alongside NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte at the White House, Trump said operating the missiles — which have a range of roughly 2,500 kilometers — demands extensive training. Putin, responding to the discussion, cautioned Western leaders to “think about it,” emphasising that any strike on Russian territory with such weapons would trigger a powerful retaliatory response.

  1. The script was written with the Cuban missile crisis of 1962.

The escalation in 1962 came from the very same dumb yanks who started the Cuban missile crisis by deploying Jupiter missiles in Turkey https://missilethreat.csis.org/missile/jupiter/

Khrushchev then decided to teach the dumb yanks a simple lesson by deploying SS-4 and SS-5 missiles in Cuba in 1962 https://www.atomicarchive.com/history/cuban-missile-crisis/map-missile-range.html

Propaganda in 1962 stated that Kennedy confronted the Soviets over 1962’s Cuban missile crisis but the truth was that the dumb yanks provoked the whole crisis first with their anti-Soviet missile deployment in Turkey .

Moral of the story: dumb yanks remain dumb yanks and nothing changes.

If the dumb yanks learnt anything at all, then idiot Trump will capitulate quickly just as Kennedy did.

The dumb yanks can start wars of their own elsewhere without escalating Europe’s wars.

    • In the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, both the United States and the Soviet Union made concessions—but Khrushchev was the one who backed down publicly, while Kennedy made a secret concession to preserve face and avoid nuclear war.
Khrushchev removed Soviet missiles from Cuba.
      Kennedy was seen as victorious.
The U.S. quietly agreed to remove its Jupiter missiles from Turkey and Italy, which had been aimed at the USSR.
This part of the deal was kept secret to protect Kennedy’s image.
      Why Khrushchev “Backed Down”:
He wanted to avoid nuclear war and preserve global stability.
By allowing Kennedy to claim victory, he helped de-escalate the crisis while securing his own strategic goal: removal of U.S. missiles near Soviet borders.

  2. Those who follow the chain of command realise the decision to go to war Isn’t made by politicians. The decision to go to war is made by one interbred family.

Politicians come and go. Some willingly, others not so much. Making trading difficult causing a recession, A public scandal, allegations of sexual misconduct. If all those don’t work or a quick resolution is required, assassination.

In recent days what has become clear is rare earth metals are nolonger being sought from China or Russia. Australia has stepped in to fill the gap. A clear sign Australia will surge ahead financially.

The penalty for not giving access to rare earth medals is likely to be ongoing war supplying Ukraine with smart and powerful non-nuclear weapons like tomahawk missiles.

You would think that now there is a source of rare eath metals along with the trade and defence agreements between powerhouse China and resourceful Russia might worry the west enough to turn off poking the bear through its proxy Ukraine. Ukraine has run out of manpower, Unwilling Europe (citizens, not politicians), do not want to die fighting someone else’s war for rare earth resources.

    • Capital is flooding back to the US from UK and EU.
A sign that capital restrictions are coming.
As the prospect of war draws nearer.
Martin Armstrong has warned that capital is rapidly flowing back to the U.S. from the UK and EU, which he interprets as a signal of impending war and looming capital controls in Europe.
This claim is part of Armstrong’s broader geopolitical and economic forecast, which sees the Ukraine conflict escalating into a wider war involving NATO, and a potential collapse of European financial systems.
Capital Flight to the U.S.: Armstrong argues that investors are moving money out of Europe and the UK into the U.S., anticipating capital restrictions and financial instability in the EU.
Imminent War: He believes Europe is preparing for war, citing the reinstitution of military drafts across multiple countries and the collapse of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
Desperation, Not Strategy: According to Armstrong, European support for Ukraine is driven by economic desperation, not moral clarity. He suggests that war is being used as a distraction from sovereign debt crises and economic collapse.
CBDCs and Wealth Controls: He warns that central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) will be used to trap capital, enabling governments to confiscate wealth under the guise of financial reform.

  4. The only good is that Atomic bombs don’t exist and never have existed. That also shows the secret co operation between those so called nuclear powers.

  6. Flip-flop, Trump who makes off the cuff policy rather than economic advisors who model outcomes is unhelpful.

The core of the problem is ignoring placing offensive wepons that close to Russia. It is a provocative and unnecessary forward deployment of wepons of mass destruction. Unacceptable by any nation.

Such a forward deployment does not make Ukraine safe or protected. The situation is just as unworkable as Russia placing the same weapons in 1960’’s. Cuba.

The globalists are fully behind this deployment as part of what they call the new world order. One false or unannounced launch of massive but still conventional weapon is all it will take to end millions of lives.

NATO does not make placement decisions all by themselves. They take orders from the elite.
