New Zealand’s net migration gain has plunged to 12,400 in the year to September 2025 — its lowest September total since 2013 outside the pandemic years — as record numbers of New Zealanders leave the country, according to provisional figures from Stats NZ.

The fall from last year’s net gain of 42,400 reflects both a drop in migrant arrivals and a surge in departures, with 126,400 people leaving in the past year.

The most striking shift was among New Zealand citizens, who recorded a near-record net loss of 46,400, driven by a provisional all-time high of 72,700 citizens moving overseas.

Around 58 percent headed to Australia, and more than a third of those were born overseas. Meanwhile, non-citizen migration remained relatively steady with a net gain of 58,800, though arrivals from India and the Philippines declined. Stats NZ says migration trends reflect global labour markets, economic conditions, and changing immigration policies.

  1. If it was the right arrivals, maybe the departures would stop?
If there was more deportations, maybe there there would be more right arrivals?

  2. Thanks for your input there Stats NZ, but we all already know that migration trends reflect the global elites’ unhinged crusade to turn the west into North Africa, nothing more.

  3. Government needs to curb the councils, digital ID, and stop the maorism, and climate bs. These all together are destroying businesses, freedom, and fun.

  4. Have we run out of dairies?
Which why Indians are not suitable to be included in soccer teams
Give them a corner – and they want to build a dairy on it

  5. Stats NZ can tell us that Piggies 💸 fly. What the GOVT Par machine will never say is the truth.

Ardernie et al are primarily responsible with Luxflake and his servitude to globalists rubbing salt into that infected wound. These criminals will never face justice.
