A New Zealand man who had lived in Australia since his teenage years is set to be deported after immigration authorities cancelled his visa following years of persistent criminal offending, culminating in multiple alcohol thefts that breached an earlier warning allowing him to remain in the country.
Details of the man’s age and name were redacted from the decision.
Despite family ties and Australian-born children, the Administrative Review Tribunal ruled his long history of violence, drug and alcohol abuse, assaults on police, domestic violence, drink-driving and repeated breaches of court orders demonstrated a continuing risk to the community.
Tribunal member Greg Weeks found there was a “significant likelihood” he would reoffend and rejecting claims of rehabilitation, concluding that the seriousness and frequency of his behaviour ultimately outweighed humanitarian considerations.

He’ll fit in well if he moves to West Auckland.
We should be doing the same with their offenders here and any others who are not New Zealand citizens.
Don’t blame them why should they pickup after Maori!
