Second arrest following Manawatū incidents

Police have made a second arrest in relation to offences that occurred on 21 October.

The incidents included a ram raid at a shop on Ruahine Street in Palmerston North, and an aggravated robbery at a service station on Awahuri Road, Feilding.

“Following the arrest of a youth on 22 October, another youth has been taken into custody today. They will go through the youth process”, said Detective Sergeant Shelley Ross.

“The investigation into these offences remains ongoing. Enquiries are continuing into a number of related matters, including the unlawful taking of several motor vehicles.

“Police would like to thank the many witnesses who have come forward and provided information to assist the investigation.”

Support has been offered to victims, including referrals to Victim Support.
