Wairarapa Police have apprehended six individuals as part of a major operation targeting an organised criminal group operating in the Wairarapa area.
Arrests were made at three locations in Masterton, Martinborough, and Carterton, following an extensive investigation spanning the Wellington and Tasman Districts.
During the operation police seized half a kilo of meth along with drug-packaging materials indicative of distribution, and confiscated thousands of dollars in cash. The Police Asset Recovery Unit also impounded assets worth over $250,000, including four vehicles, a motorcycle, and a jet ski.
The six alleged offenders were set to appear in the Masterton District Court today, facing charges such as participating in an organised criminal group and possession of methamphetamine for supply.
Further arrests are possible as the investigation continues.
