Warriors bounce back with win over Manly in home opener

The Warriors made a strong statement in their first home game of the season, defeating Manly 36-16 at Go Media Stadium on Friday night.

After a disappointing Round 1 loss in Las Vegas, the Warriors rebounded in front of a packed crowd, capitalising on a costly night for the Sea Eagles.

Manly lost captain Daly Cherry-Evans and star fullback Tom Trbojevic to injuries late in the game, forcing them to play with 12 men for the final 15 minutes after Jake Trbojevic was sin-binned.

Despite his return, the Sea Eagles had run out of interchanges, sealing their fate as the Warriors cruised to victory.
