Large southerly swells forecast for January 4th and 5th are impacting Cook Strait sailings, with Interislander forced to cancel two morning trips of the Aratere on Saturday.

The affected sailings are the 6:15am departure from Wellington and the 11:00am departure from Picton.

Passengers have been rebooked on alternative sailings, with additional trips scheduled for Sunday morning to accommodate demand.

Interislander will continue to monitor weather conditions over the weekend, warning that further delays or cancellations may occur if the rough conditions persist.
