Global energy markets were jolted again overnight after reports emerged of fresh attacks on oil infrastructure across the Gulf, with at least two tankers struck near Iraq’s Umm Qasr port and a major port facility in Oman still burning into Thursday morning (local time).
The incidents came as the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran intensified, raising fears of a broader disruption to global oil supply routes. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claims it now has full control of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical shipping corridors for crude exports, while neighbouring Gulf states have accused Tehran of widening its strikes to include energy assets in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Authorities in Oman reportedly moved vessels away from the Mina Al Fahal export terminal as a precaution after fires continued at Port of Salalah. The new attacks added immediate pressure to oil markets, pushing crude back above US$100 a barrel despite Washington’s effort to reassure traders. The United States has announced it will release 172 million barrels from its strategic petroleum reserves over the next 120 days in an attempt to stabilise supply and contain further price spikes.
US President Donald Trump said American strikes had “virtually destroyed Iran” but signalled military operations would continue, saying he did not want to stop before the objective was complete. Iran, meanwhile, says its forces have degraded opposing air defence systems and warned that Israeli territory and US military bases across the Middle East remain exposed to retaliatory action.

There are four STS operations currently taking place off the southern coast of Iraq. This pair, filmed from a northern angle, appear to be ZEFYROS (9515917) and SAFESEA VISHNU (9327009). #OOTT #Iraq #Tankers https://t.co/bCyQ5TFXhy pic.twitter.com/7sRYIITOdI

Iran has already published their conditions for a ceasefire but the rest of the world are determined to be prejudiced against Iran https://en.ypagency.net/386929
The world is against the islamic regime not Iran.
Do you justify a religious war?
Yes. Their ultimate demand is the total demise of Israel… Iran, originally Persia, were the very people who returned the exiled Jews to Israel under King Cyrus before the takeover of the region by Muslims. The shouting of “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” is far removed from their historical roots. The wonderful cultural heritage of Persia/Iran has almost been snuffed out. May it rise again from the ashes.
Before israhell was ” created” and all ashkenazi’s and sionists arrived in israhell, jews and moslims used to live in peace next to each others . In all the middel east and northern africa
Since the creation of israhell and its consequence the nakba ( look it up if you don t know te signification of it) israhell has been at war with all its neighbourging countries to expand the territory ” allowed” to them , this without any concertation of the population living there already.
Nobody likes a bully. Israhell is worse than that. Not only a bully and a thief, but a racist genocidal country, killing thousands of women and children
Many will rejoice of the demise of israhell and not only the iranians who have my full support and have shown more decency than all western rotten society together. Or formulated otherwise the epstein syndicate
Yes, Kings Darius, Nebuchadnezzar and Xerxes were all renowned for travelling across the ancient world preaching peace and tolerance as I recall.
Barbary corsairs were never a thing. And the Ottomans catapulted Constantinople with marshmallows and stormed the city giving out hugs to every Byzantine woman and child they saw while the sun-baby from Teletubbies watched with a giggle.
The Huns and the mongols never existed either.
The Middle East was definitely the most peaceful place in all of human history until those horrible racists came along.
F@**ing lol
Apparently the US is winning! Oh yes, its winning so convincingly it has had to release strategic oil reserves and it cant get ships through the strait. Those that try get turned into fiery torches. Yes, ultimate victory is surely right around the corner. Just you wait and see. Oh but in the meantime, please use your bike or walk.
Why do I smell bull****…..?
The trolls appear to hate it when American imperialism is confronted
Not supporting murderous theological regimes inspired by a thousand year old desert death cult formed by a pedophile = “trolling”.
Yeah okay, thanks for the chuckles.
Just a minor prang https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2026/03/12/765315/Iraq-s-resistance-groups-strike-down-US-Air-Force-KC-135-aircraft
And here’s the western media’s version https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/world/589482/massive-us-refuelling-aircraft-crashes-in-iraq
The dumb yanks just don’t realise how much they are hated
Additional info – the Iranians now claim the US Boeing Stratotanker was fueling an Israeli fighter jet during an airstrike when the tanker was shot down (probably makes more sense because it’s impossible to take evasive action during such refuelling)

How the world has changed. BP (British Petroleum) was invented over 100 years ago to steal Iranian oil. The Americans then weaponized oil via the petrodollar. America created the weapon. Now China fires the latest broadside with this weapon (very peacefully, of course) https://news-pravda.com/world/2026/03/13/2151059.html
So China staunchly supports Iran’s war without any military action. They are simply using the weapons created by western imperialism.
NZ now faces a similar restriction of fuel imports from South Korea https://centrist.nz/south-korea-export-ban-fears-raise-fuel-security-concerns/
Wall Street Journal expects oil prices to more than double to US$215 per barrel https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/iran-war-news-updates-2026/card/oil-prices-are-barreling-toward-all-time-highs-zDvOv24AFss4bCq8Mqit
That will be over NZ$6 per litre at the pump here unless our NZ govt move fast now to buy around 90days supply of Russian oil which has had sanctions temporarily removed till 12April2026
Trump is winning winning winning….. with a large hole in the upper deck of the US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln https://news-pravda.com/world/2026/03/13/2151312.html
