Police are investigating an ongoing incident in Te Aroha.

‘There will be an increased Police presence in the area this morning,’ said a statement.

‘Members of the public are advised to report any suspicious behaviour immediately on 111.

‘We are also advising people to avoid assisting anyone attempting to hitch-hike in the area this morning.

‘Further information will be provided when able.’
