Teaching Council CEO on leave amid conduct and procurement investigations

Teaching Council chief executive Lesley Hoskin has taken agreed leave while an independent investigation examines allegations about her conduct.

Council staff were notified this week, with deputy chair David Gott stepping in as interim CEO according to legacy media.

The investigation coincides with a separate Public Service Commission (PSC) probe into alleged procurement and conflict-of-interest issues at the council, launched after a protected disclosure to Education Minister Erica Stanford.

The PSC inquiry, expected to conclude by December, follows public scrutiny of the council’s vetting practices after a convicted teacher was recertified.

Meanwhile, consultant Debbie Francis is leading a strategic review into the council’s operations and culture. Hoskin, appointed in 2019, is said to be cooperating fully with the ongoing inquiry.

  2. Hope our precious taxes are not being wasted on such incompetence. I thought that basic ethical training was mandatory for any CEO in the public service. They (the CEO) should pay for the costs of these investigations if they can’t behave ethically.

This says it all really. It has to be one of the most woke, leftist websites out there.
And with a staff of over 100, what the hell do they actually do all day, apart from indoctrinate teachers, and blow smoke up each others arses. What a total waste of resources.
