A Hamilton mother is fearing for her family’s safety after her 16-year-old son was attacked and stabbed outside Fraser High School by a group of masked men.
A report in state-funded media says the teen was confronted by two carloads of assailants during lunchtime and stabbed multiple times while being pulled toward a vehicle.
He underwent surgery for a perforated colon and is now recovering, though suffering from anxiety.
His mother described him as a gentle “big teddy bear” and urged the community to come forward with information, saying the family remains open to dialogue and forgiveness. Police are investigating the incident as an assault and have ruled out kidnapping for now.

This is exactly why my wife & I pulled our autistic / asperger child OUT of the schools, and homeschooled from when our child was age seven.
The pre-schools were especially horrific.
In the primary schools (we went thru two of them…) our child was attacked with a 2×4, set-upon by a gang of boys who tried to smother our child, and finally the boys were exposing their buttocks and penises. Complaining to the principal did nothing, so we got an exemption to homeschool in just three days after we demanded school records under the OIA.
When I went to school in another country, I was stabbed twice.
Nothing was done abour it…no cops, no suspensions / expulsions, etc.
I then carried a knife for self defence, and took up Kung Fu (Hun Gar).
I also had a 20 gauge double-barrel shotgun under the back seat of my VW Beetle with a box of 00 buckshot.
I lived in a State that had Castle Laws and Stand Your Ground laws…but I was SAFER IN VIETNAM THAN I WAS ‘BACK HOME’…!
Word got around, but then again, I’m ‘Neuro-typical’ and not ‘Neuro-diverse’…
Those parents who have a child on the Autism Spectrum should consider homeschooling. Re-arrange your work schedules to accommodate this, but DO SOMETHING because these children do not always tell you what is happening to them!
With all of the cameras, witnesses, etc. there should have already been arrests by now!!!!!!
Attacking a disabled person who is a minor causing bodily harm should see this gang of perps serve 20+ years w/ NO PAROLE!!!

Not sure how stabbing someone requiring surgery no less, qualifies as “assault”. I would have thought a more serious charge is warranted but well, NZ is falling apart, under the likes of National and Labour, so perhaps my “surprise”, is misplaced.
