The owner of Cre8iveworx, a high-end store in Wellington, sent an email to other businesses claiming that Ghahraman was in their store in October last year and had laid a police complaint against Green MP Golriz Ghahraman.
Police confirmed receiving a report of shoplifting at Cre8iveworx on October 26.
In the email the owner of Cre8iveworx said she had laid a police complaint, mentioned Ghahraman by name, and, included images appearing to show Ghahraman in the store,
This is the third complaint of shoplifting against Ghahraman following two allegations relating to Scotties Boutique in Auckland, which are under police investigation.
Last week Green Party co-leaders James Shaw and Marama Davidson stated they were aware of the allegations and were waiting for Ghahraman’s return from an overseas trip to address the matter. Ghahraman had agreed to stand down from her portfolio responsibilities until the issue was resolved.
Ghahraman recently returned to New Zealand and has not commented publicly on the allegations.
