Meeting New Zealand’s 2030 Paris target could cost up to $5 billion in offshore carbon credits, Treasury says.
The money would pay other countries to cut their emissions. Prime Minister Christopher Luxon ruled the spending out.
“We ain’t shutting down farms, and we certainly aren’t sending billions of dollars offshore,” he said. The previous Labour government set the target, and Greens minister James Shaw raised it to a 50% emissions cut.

While they have a web page as a policy paper, I have looked at the party structure (there is none) and the individuals who are the party at this stage are not publicly visible. It looks to me that the oroginal NZLoyal party was dissolved because of party politics between the handful of NZLoyal core members. This has devolved into nasty infighting and can as it stands at this stage not be trusted to be of any relevance. IMO a real tragedy because many ppl were really optimistic.
As long as there is no real public display of a functioning platform, this brilliant looking party policy has to wait for having a viable vehicle.

This Paris accord is nothing more than laundering money. Money needed for infrastructure and to pay down debt. Winston Peters and David, Seymour are the only two party leaders talking sense.
