US President Donald Trump has arrived in Beijing for crucial talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, as tensions grow over trade, technology, Taiwan and the ongoing conflict involving Iran.
Trump received an elaborate welcome at the airport, greeted by Chinese Vice-President Han Zheng in what analysts view as a stronger diplomatic gesture than during his 2017 visit.
Accompanied by senior US business leaders including Elon Musk and Jensen Huang, Trump signalled he would push Xi to further open China’s economy to American companies. The visit comes as trade between the two nations has sharply declined amid tariff disputes and restrictions on advanced technology exports.
Iran’s war and its impact on oil supplies through the Strait of Hormuz are also expected to dominate discussions, alongside growing US pressure on China over Taiwan and Beijing’s increasing leverage in critical rare earth minerals and artificial intelligence industries.
Can we trust the Orange Trumpet not to give away Taiwan on day one?
Giving something away assumes ownership. The US does not own Taiwan. Its traditionally been part of China. Take a look at a map, its an absurdly short distance from the coast of the Chinese mainland.
…but it’s never been communist and look to Tibet, East Turkistan, and Hong Kong to see how Taiwan will be treated. Donny’s likely to say, in the name of great friendship, take Taiwan.
Who would he give it to? ?The dancing Israeli’s??
Are you a ZOG operative in our midst?
Giz some of your rare earths so we can make more bombs
Strange that all the faces are blurred out in the photo. Is it some sort of crime scene?
Its the hot air coming off the US delegation causing heat waves and image distortion.
Trump will invent more bull as usual to make losing look like winning
So much TDS in these comments.
Good, let the hate flow through you 😁
