The US president has said that he instructed the Navy to “interdict every vessel that has paid a toll to Iran,” accusing Tehran of extortion.

US President Donald Trump has declared that the US Navy will immediately begin a “blockade” of the Strait of Hormuz after talks with Iran in Islamabad ended without agreement. He accused Tehran of extortion, referring to the fees charged to vessels seeking to traverse the strategically vital waterway.

“I have also instructed our Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in International Waters that has paid a toll to Iran. No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas,” the US president stated on Truth Social. He went on to claim that “other Countries will be involved with this Blockade.”

Trump also said the US Navy will begin destroying Iranian mines in the strait, threatening that Tehran’s forces attempting to obstruct the effort “will be BLOWN TO HELL!”

Earlier, the US and Iranian delegations left the marathon 21-hour talks in Islamabad without a peace deal, though a tentative ceasefire in the Gulf continues to hold.

US Vice President J.D. Vance, who led the US delegation, said Washington was “negotiating in good faith” and made its red lines “as clear as we possibly could,” but Iran has “chosen not to accept our terms.”

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said the talks produced some progress on several issues, but noted that differences remain on “two or three key points.”

A source close to the Iranian delegation told Fars that Washington was “looking for an excuse” to walk away, adding that Tehran refused US conditions on the Strait of Hormuz, peaceful nuclear energy, and other core issues, and added that Iran has no plans for another round of talks.

Commenting on the failed talks in Islamabad, Trump claimed that the Iranian negotiators “were very unyielding” on uranium enrichment – the “single most important issue” to the US.

US Vice President J.D. Vance, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and the rest of the US negotiating team have left Pakistan, according to media reports.

The IDF has been instructed to assume a “heightened state of readiness” in anticipation of a resumption of the hostilities, Israeli media reports.

Trump has said he ordered the US Navy to remove Iranian mines from the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM earlier announced that the US Navy destroyers USS Frank E. Petersen and USS Michael Murphy crossed the waterway and operated in the Arabian Gulf as part of the mission.

Iranian military spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaghari has denied US claims of a minesweeping operation in Hormuz, insisting that any vessel seeking to pass through the key waterway requires permission from the Iranian armed forces.

  1. Typical international terrorism from the USA. Hopefully that idiot Winston Peters might find a latent brain cell somewhere and discover what freedom of navigation means and issue an immediate and stern condemnation of the USA’s terrorist blockade.

    • Vassals don’t condemn their master…..I can’t think of a single mainstream party that would stand up to the US…..

      • Yes, there has to be a purge of the wasps out of the beehive, IMO.
The picture will be in full view when the SHTF.
        Soon.
I am not even a party member (yet), but the ppl from NZ Loyal
        https://nzloyal.com/policy/
        do make sense.
Are they delivering once in power?
        I dunno.
All I know is that the past stooges DID NOT!

  2. The Strait was open 6 weeks ago… until some idiot started a war. Its open now also, except to Epstein regime ships.

    • That deranged zionist puppet needs to pull his little finger out his a*se.
Alas, Satanyahu will replace it immediately.
The world is suffering because of criminal buffoons.

  3. So Donny Epstein’s gonna blockade the Strait his actions effectively closed but now can’t open because he illegally attacked another country? Genius! Watch oil prices skyrocket while Barron cashes in on the futures markets! Forget the Biden Crime Family, it’s the Trump Crime Family’s turn now!

  4. You’re not stomping your feet loud enough or throwing enough toys out of the cot Trump.

You and all your advisors knew(and a fair amount of average joes) this would be the response to an attack, because the US and it’s vassal gulf states were told this would happen – many times. You foolishly thought you could achieve what you wanted without this happening.

The whole world can see you stuffed up, even as you try and project an image of winning toughness. And soon you will have to answer the Epstein questions you hoped to bury.

Will the narcissistic megalomaniac double down with some more dangerous actions?

    Most likely

  5. Seems that the penny has finally dropped for the dumb yanks and their equally dumb stooges (eg Luxon and Peters). Trump’s erratic behaviour clearly indicate his late realisation that the USA has suffered a debacle in their unnecessary unprovoked war against Iran.
    (1) The Strait Of Hormuz was open 7 weeks ago
    (2) Then the morons attacked Iran saying it was Iran’s fault that Iran got attacked
    (3) The Strait Of Hormuz then closed to the morons and their allies
    (4) The morons then demand opening of the Strait Of Hormuz
    (5) The morons talk in bad faith at Islamabad and so the Strait Of Hormuz remains shut to them
    (6) Now the morons want to blockade the Strait Of Hormuz

Does any of this make any sense? Is this adult behaviour? The morons behave like 2-year-olds. Will Luxon and Peters demonstrate any maturity? Or are they similarly allergic to integrity?

  6. 2 weeks ago Trump said the US didn’t need Hormuz Strait, now the dumbass lunatic is blockading it which is going to drive up fuel prices more for everyone. This pedofilic clown needs to be removed from office we’re all sick of the c***. He hasn’t released the Epstejn files, made the swamp bigger and deeper, started wars he said he wouldn’t and is deeply implicated with the Epstein pedo network. 25th Amendment now!

  7. The author of The Art of the Steal (cough, I mean Deal) missed a business opportunity – to use the US Navy to extort even more $$ by making the ships pay to get past the US Navy’s blockade.

  8. Difficult to understand why the US military are struggling to open the strait.

Enough talk, The strait is internationally recognised as an open sea lane. If Iran doesn’t want to be be part of the international community, remove them. Stop pussyfooting around.

If the people of Iran want to chain themselves to the infrastructure, ultimately thats their choice.

New Zealmds decision should be follow Australia and step up land based oil drilling. For those people who are against this, you can protest by, not driving your fossil fuel car. Refuse to buy goods and services delivered using diesel trucks and courier services.

Finally, those who vote Labour and the Greens need to recognise these people as responsible for destroying critical infrastructure on the basis of being politically correct. NZ still need oil to function. Our farms and industries are heavily reliant on oil. Most people understand, having sufficient alternatives in place first before you destroy what insulated us and made us independent. Do not vote these fairytale wishful thinking ideological hacks into power.
