Two arrested over Louvre Museum robbery

Louvre arrests news

French authorities say they have arrested two men in connection with last weekend’s audacious theft of priceless jewels from the Louvre Museum in Paris.

According to reports from BFMTV, one suspect was detained at Charles de Gaulle Airport as he prepared to board a flight to Algeria.

The thieves are accused of targeting the museum’s Apollo Gallery, home to France’s Crown Jewels, and pulling off a swift seven-minute raid in which they smashed into two high-security display cases and made off with nine valuable items, the French culture ministry confirmed.

  1. Don’t know why but the museum’s name always reminds me of public toilets. Maybe it’s just the French. The Parisians are obnoxious as I found out while briefly living in Paris.

    • And of course John P speaks fluent French and is capable to communicate with ease with parisians and understand them perfectly. Because parisians a.o. have had sometime more than enough to be expected to speak english in their own country to foreigners too lazy to make any efforts to speak French.

In case you would not know, in France people speak French, in China Chinese and Russia Russian.

As le Louvre’ s name reminding you of public toilets it says something about you: that you are gross
