Police were called about 3.10pm following a report of two people being injured at a Great South Road, Takanini premises.
They have both sustained serious injuries and have been transported to receive medical attention.
Police have attended immediately and a man has been arrested.

Update – Monday 17 April
Police can now confirm charges laid following a serious incident in Takanini yesterday.
A 26-year-old male will appear in Papakura District Court today charged with assault with intent to rob and wounds with intend to cause grievous bodily harm.
As the matter is before the Court, we are not in a position to comment further.
