A filmed confrontation between a customer and store employee over the requirement to wear a mask in-store has gone viral.
The stoush took place yesterday at the Helensville Mitre 10, north of Auckland.
In the video a man, who is filming the confrontation himself, enters the store without a mask and is immediately confronted by an employee demanding he put one on or get out. When the man refuses, the employee physically removes him.
The video has appeared on multiple channels on Telegram and Twitter, and opinion is split over who is in the right, depending on the bias of the channel.
Suggestion – if you’re gonna immediately resort to assault against people for not wearing a mask, might be an idea to know how to properly wear one yourself. pic.twitter.com/3S6M7DyXUW
