The house of a pro-freedom pastor from Christchurch was raided by police while he was out celebrating New Year’s Eve with friends.
Carl Bromley recounts the story of the night in a video uploaded to Telegram by independent media outlet Counterspin Media.
‘We literally live in a totalitarian state,’ said Bromley at the beginning of the video.
He describes how he and his wife went out to spend the evening with friends, returning home about 1am. It was then his wife discovered someone had been in the house, and first thought they had been burgled given the mess and state of the house. To his shock he discovered that he’d not been burgled, but instead had been raided by the police.
