Residents near the centre of an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo say fear is spreading rapidly as health officials warn the crisis may be significantly larger than current figures suggest.
More than 130 people have allegedly died and hundreds of suspected infections have been recorded, while experts believe many cases may still be going undetected.
Locals in Ituri province described people dying quickly and communities struggling with limited medical supplies.
The World Health Organization (WHO) claims the virus may already have spread into neighbouring regions and across borders, fuelled by population movement and instability in eastern Congo.
Uganda has confirmed one death linked to the outbreak, while nearby countries tighten border controls and prepare hospitals for possible cases.
According to British state media, officials remain concerned about the pace of transmission, particularly as no approved vaccine exists for the rare Bundibugyo strain driving the outbreak.

5. Most recall the missing empty vaccination bottles and the NZ police were ordered to make it a top priority to get them back.
6. Everyone knows Switzerland citizens did not take the vaccine and were fine.
My message is pure and simple. We in NZ and the rest of the world know this playbook. We are the many, you are the few. We are prepared, we have alternatives. If you don’t, Get prepared now. Stock up. Join a community group.
