Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a fatal crash this morning on SH1, Wairakei.
About 7.30am, two vehicles travelling on a straight stretch of road collided.
“Sadly, the driver of one vehicle died. Two other people were transported to hospital with minor to moderate injuries”, said Senior Sergeant Fane Troy.
“The Serious Crash Unit has examined the scene, and now Police are asking to hear from anyone who saw the crash occur, or who might have dashcam footage of it.
