The Cronulla Sharks have slumped to a 10-38 loss against the Dolphins at Ocean Protect Stadium, with three late tries blowing out what had been a competitive contest.
The Dolphins held control throughout, using speed and second-phase play to keep Cronulla on the back foot, leading 16-4 at halftime.
The Sharks briefly fought back after the break, with Braydon Trindall scoring in his 100th game to close the gap to 16-10 and forwards Toby Rudolf and Sifa Talakai lifting momentum.
However, key moments, including penalty goals and missed opportunities, halted their charge. The Dolphins regained control before tries to Jake Averillo, Selwyn Cobbo and Connelly Lemuelu in the final stages sealed a convincing victory.
