Martin O’Neill has been reappointed as Celtic manager until the end of the season following the dismissal of Wilfried Nancy after a poor run of results.
The 73-year-old had previously taken charge on an interim basis after Brendan Rodgers’ departure, winning seven of eight matches, before stepping aside for Nancy in December.
Nancy left the club after securing just two wins from eight games, including a League Cup final defeat to St Mirren.
O’Neill said he was honoured to return and focused on restoring winning form, while paying tribute to his predecessor.
He will again be assisted by Shaun Maloney, Mark Fotheringham and Stephen McManus. Celtic sit second in the Scottish Premiership, six points behind Hearts, as the club looks to revive its title challenge under a manager who won seven trophies during his first spell.
