New Zealand produced a commanding second-half performance to defeat Scotland 21-43 at Murrayfield in the Nations Championship, extending their unbeaten record against the Scots to 34 Tests.
The opening half delivered an entertaining contest, with Scotland hooker Ewan Ashman scoring a remarkable hat-trick to keep the hosts within three points at the interval.
The All Blacks, despite having Peter Lakai and Wallace Sititi temporarily suspended, demonstrated their attacking strength through early tries from Sititi, Ethan de Groot, Codie Taylor and Beauden Barrett. However, Scotland struggled to contain the visitors after the break as Josh Moorby, Barrett and Asafo Aumua crossed the line, completing a seven-try performance.
New Zealand scored 19 unanswered second-half points, overwhelming Scotland with sustained pressure, clinical finishing and superior execution. The result continued Scotland’s century-long wait for a first victory over the All Blacks, who have now recorded 32 wins and two draws in their meetings since 1905.
