The All Blacks delivered a devastating attacking display to defeat Australia 43-21 in Sydney, running in seven tries before a crowd of 73,000 at Accor Stadium and extending their Bledisloe Cup dominance for a sixth consecutive year.
Despite losing Jordie Barrett before kickoff and Quinn Tupaea within the opening minutes, New Zealand produced a blistering first-half performance built on precision passing, intelligent support play and ruthless finishing. Beauden Barrett and Josh Moorby scored twice each, while Peter Lakai, Rieko Ioane and Wallace Sititi also crossed as the visitors overwhelmed the Wallabies with their pace and cohesion.
Australia mounted a second-half recovery, aided by New Zealand’s depleted ranks following an injury and yellow card, but the contest had effectively been settled before halftime. Captain Codie Taylor praised his side’s outstanding opening 40 minutes, although the subsequent drop in intensity and potential injuries to Will Jordan and Shannon Frizell will give the coaching staff cause for concern.
