Aston Villa dump Spurs out of FA Cup as pressure mounts on Postecoglou

Aston Villa secured their place in the FA Cup fifth round for the first time in a decade with a commanding 2-1 victory over a struggling Tottenham, piling further pressure on manager Ange Postecoglou.

Jacob Ramsey put Villa ahead inside the opening minute after a blunder from Spurs goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, while Morgan Rogers sealed the win in the 64th minute with a clinical finish.

Villa dominated throughout, outshooting Spurs 11-3 in a one-sided first half, while Tottenham’s struggles continued, following their Carabao Cup exit just days earlier. New signing Marcus Rashford made his Villa debut from the bench, adding further excitement to an ambitious side eyeing silverware.

Spurs fans voiced their frustration with chants against chairman Daniel Levy, as their hopes of domestic success now rest solely on the Europa League.
