The Black Caps completed a dominant 323-run victory over the West Indies in the third Test at Mt Maunganui, wrapping up the match emphatically on the final day as the tourists were bowled out for 138 chasing an improbable 462.
After West Indies resumed on 43 without loss, New Zealand’s bowlers ripped through the batting order with five wickets falling for just 11 runs, turning early resistance into collapse.
Jacob Duffy led the charge with a devastating spell, taking five wickets on the day to finish with outstanding match figures of nine for 128, while Ajaz Patel claimed three for 23.
Glenn Phillips and Rachin Ravindra also chipped in as wickets continued to tumble after lunch.
Brandon King top-scored with 67 in a lone stand for the visitors. The result sealed a series win for New Zealand after a draw in the first Test and a nine-wicket victory in the second, with the Black Caps now turning their attention to a white-ball tour of India in January.
