The NSW Waratahs have suffered a 20-35 defeat to the Blues in their Round 6 Super Rugby Pacific clash at Allianz Stadium, surrendering a strong early advantage as the visitors surged late.
The Waratahs appeared in control after building a 20-8 lead early in the second half, with their scrum dominance providing a solid platform. However, they were unable to convert that control into sustained scoreboard pressure.
The Blues mounted a powerful comeback, led by AJ Lam, who scored twice and created another try for Torian Barnes. Playmaker Beauden Barrett orchestrated the turnaround with a commanding second-half performance, guiding the side back into the contest.
With around 20 minutes remaining, the Blues had drawn level before pulling clear in the closing stages, capitalising on their opportunities to seal a convincing win as the Waratahs faded late.
