The ACT Brumbies have bounced back from recent struggles with a gritty 10-14 win over the Highlanders in Dunedin, overcoming the early loss of star back-rower Charlie Cale and an error-prone performance that included 18 turnovers.
Despite a slow start, the Brumbies struck first through captain Ryan Lonergan, before the Highlanders briefly took the lead in the second half via Jona Nareki.
A late yellow card proved costly for the hosts, allowing Luke Reimer to score the decisive try.
The win relieves pressure after a poor run of form and helps the Brumbies strengthen their position inside the Super Rugby Pacific top six.
